 Manufacturing Engineer

Requirements:

- BSME or BSIE with 5+ years of work experience
- Solid history in light manufacturing environment is required
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers.
- Must be able to solve complex problems with limited supervision
- Regulatory (UL/CSA/ETL) experience preferred.
- Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred
- Epicore Vantage MRP software experience a plus


We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to assist with activities in our Engineering department.  This position will work closely with our Manufacturing Department and Quoting Team, while also assisting in other designated roles as necessary.  

 

Detailed Duties - The Manufacturing Engineer works with our Application Engineer to design new variants of existing products to meet customer special requests.  This person helps guide the design process to aid in manufacturability to achieve lowest cost.  Also performs sustaining engineering functions such as cost reduction initiatives through manufacturing process improvement using lean methods, creation of custom jigs & fixtures, rate studies, etc. This person provides technical support to the Manufacturing Department, including rapid design of custom items, creation of drawings, and construction of samples. The position requires some customer interaction via telephone and email.  The Manufacturing Engineer must be able to apply the National Electrical Code and good engineering judgment to ensure safe, reliable electrical products.  This position works on assigned projects from concept to production with little direct supervision from the Engineering Manager.  Such projects may require new work methods and/or fixturing and will require effective oral and written communication with other departments, vendors, customers, and with hourly workers on the shop floor.

                       
 
 
Customer Service Manager

Requirements:

- 5 + years of Customer Service management experience, preferably in a manufacturing/engineered products environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills required. 
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with external customers and internal staff.
- Experience with Vantage systems a plus.
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel.
- Preferably experience in the electrical industry.

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Manager to direct and lead the day-to-day activities in our customer service department.  Primary responsibilities include supervising the order process from start to finish. 

The Customer Service Manager leads a team that is responsible for all initial and lasting points of contact with Ericson’s customers and sales representatives.  This team has a vital role in creating a lasting positive impression on our customers and growing our business through an inside sales effort.

Our vision is to “Exceed customer expectations at all times”. 

Ultimately responsible for the overall state of customer service with regard to product pricing, quotes, outstanding collections, service, payment, delivery and product availability and the return material process.  Answers all direct customer inquiries as well as those referred for further clarification by the customer service representatives, sales or marketing departments and address all customer inquiries in a timely and appropriate manner.  Uses all tools (phone, e-mail, fax, mail) to communicate with customers based on their desired method of communication.  Gathers information required to address customer issues by interfacing with the other departments as necessary.  Supervises and provides guidance to customer service representatives regarding company policies, procedures and workflow with an effort towards continuous improvement.  Resolves customer concerns, manages call handling and quality service and continually provide training, coaching and leadership to the inside sales team thereby improving individual and team performance.   Act as a liaison with all Ericson internal departments as required improving information flow and resolving disputes in a timely and professional manner.
